Brenna D’Castro MSc
Brenna D’Castro is a master’s student at the Voxar Labs, working on human-computer interaction applied to the teleoperation of heavy vehicles. Her research explores how factors such as cognitive load, situational awareness, and multisensory feedback impact the experience and performance of remote operators, with a special focus on the Latin American context. Coming from a design undergraduate background, she is particularly interested in creating interfaces that integrate artificial intelligence, usability, and immersive feedback to enhance safety, trust, and efficiency in human-machine collaboration.

Maria Luísa Lima MSc
Maria Luísa Lima is a master’s student researching fairness and bias in computer vision for autonomous driving. Her masters introduces the first benchmark dataset focused on pedestrian centered Latin American traffic scenarios and analyzes how state-of-the-art detection models perform under regional and demographic diversity. Her interests lie at the intersection of AI fairness, human-centered evaluation, and safety-critical systems, with a focus on ensuring that next-generation ADAS technologies work reliably across diverse global populations.
